Students had fun with this one day lesson. They drew a tree and filled in the branches and trunks with black oil pastel. Then the areas in the background were colored in with bright colored oil pastels. We talked about positive and negative space and used up all those tiny bits of oil pastels we had in a bucket in the art room. Great results in one class session.
